A very rare pair of George II double-lipped sauce boats of oval form. The sauce boats have shaped moulded rims, twin tongue-capped double scroll handles and stand on stepped oval bases.
The sauce boats are engraved with the coat of arms of Lethbridge Baronets from 1804.
Dimensions: length 20 cm; height 6.35 cm weight 23.55 troy oz.
Provenance: the crests of LETHBRIDGE (modern) and LUTHBRIDGE (ancient) following the creation of John Lethbridge of Westway House, Piltdown, Devon, as a baronet on 15 June 1804. The baronetcy is still extant.
First mark in 1698, registered at Fenchurch Street. Second mark in 1714 as largeworker at Lombard Street.

All items are checked and photographed prior to packaging, and we aim to dispatch 1-3 days after receiving cleared payment.
