Charles Fox believed to be the son of Charles Fox I. His first mark entered as plate maker ,  signed Charles Fox junr, 19th February 1822. Address 139, Old Street, Second mark, 27 January 1823, Third, 21 August 1823, Fourth 23 September  1823, Firth 10 December 1823. Sixth , 9 May 1839. His work shows consistently high quality .

The rapid entry of marks suggests a fairly large establishment with with varying marks used for different categories of work .

Fox was perhaps the last individualist plate-worker before the debacle of Victorian mass production

A rare Antique silver chased wine funnel of the George IV period made in 1825 by Charles Fox of London. The chasing of the funnel is totally original to the piece and it still retains its original muslin ring. The rim has a gadroon border and the body has beautiful floral chasing and a shell thumbpiece.
