A fine and extensive rattail pattern flatware service for twelve in fitted canteen table all made In Sheffield in 1923 retailed by Finnigans of Manchester.
This excellent 100 year old service is in lovely condition and still retains all its original knives with bone handles and stainless steel blades (stainless steel was a very new invention at this date).
The service is comprised of
12 round bowl soup spoons,
12 table forks,
12 dessert spoons,
12 dessert forks,
12 tea spoons,
8 table serving spoons,
2 sauce ladles,
1 soup ladle and a pair of carving knife rests (1921)
In addition the service has 12 bone handled table knives, 12 bone handled dessert knives.
The service has 12 mother of pearl and silver dessert knives and 12 mother of pearl and silver dessert forks.
It also has 12 fish knives and 12 fish forks with a pair of fish servers plus a four piece carving set (stainless blades not pictured) with bone handles and silver plated blades.
