A fine pair of Georgian silver neoclassical period Corinthian column candlesticks with square bases.
The candlesticks have beaded borders which lead to fluted columns with beautifully detailed Corinthian capitals.
The plain shaped bases are embellished with very attractive swag decoration.
The candlesticks have detachable nozzles which are hallmarked and original.
They are in superb condition throughout.

Free by redemption 1752. Livery 1763. First mark as small worker 1763. Second and third marks 1767. Fourth and fifth marks 1769. Sixth mark (2 sizes, 1779). Seventh mark as plateworker 1790.
His son, William Abdy II, entered his first mark in 1790 shortly after his father’s death. Worked at Oat Lane, Noble Street.

We deliver to the address provided at the time of purchase but not to PO addresses, as a signature is required upon delivery.
Some countries levy import duties and local taxes. Payment of these is the purchaser’s responsibility and beyond the control of William Walter Antiques Ltd. When the container has reached the destination country, a customs representative will contact you for payment prior to delivery.
Import restrictions are applicable to some destinations, especially the import of products containing materials such as ivory and tortoiseshell. We cannot accept orders requiring shipment to any countries which implement such controls.
All items are checked and photographed prior to packaging, and we aim to dispatch 1-3 days after receiving cleared payment.
