A rare pair of early George I antique silver salts of rectangular trencher form.

These silver trencher salts have gold-gilt interiors. These handsome antique silver salt cellars were made in London in 1714 by William Looker.

Dimensions, length 8 cm, width 6 cm, height 3.25 cm.

Son of Henry Looker late of the Tower of London moneyer deceased, apprenticed to Benjamin Bentley 1 May 1706, Free, 10 June 1713. The first mark was entered as a large worker on 12 June 1713. Address: Carey Lane. Second (Sterling) mark, 6 July 1720. Address: St. Ann’s Lane. Leadenhall Street, 10 March 1724. (register entry without mark). Heal records only the first two dates and addresses.

We deliver to the address provided at the time of purchase but not to PO addresses, as a signature is required upon delivery.
