A magnificent Georgian rococo silver salver which has a fine bold floral border and a beautifully hand chased surface with floral motifs and thistles.
This salver was clearly made for the Scottish market due to the preponderance of thistle decoration.
It stands on three unusual and impressive feet.
The condition is quite superb – a lovely piece of near 200-year-old silver.
Dimensions: diameter (at widest) 36.5 cm; weight 40.5 troy oz.
