A very attractive set of six Victorian antique silver coffee spoons in their original leather and silk-lined case.
The coffee spoons are wonderfully hand engraved to one side and bear the initial “S”.
Made in London in 1896 by Wakeley & Wheeler, but retailed by Thomas Reynoldson & Son of Hull.
The set is in super condition.

A London silversmith firm whose origins go back to 1791, when John Lias began in business as a buckle maker.
In 1818, he took as his partner, his son, Henry Lias I, and they were joined from 1823 to 1837 by another son, Charles. Henry Lias I and his son, Henry Lias II, were partners from 1850.
In 1879, Henry Lias II formed a firm with James Wakely. In 1884, the firm consisted of James Wakely and Frank Wheeler, becoming Wakely & Wheeler in 1909. In 1957, the business was acquired by Padgett & Braham Ltd.

We deliver to the address provided at the time of purchase but not to PO addresses, as a signature is required upon delivery.
Some countries levy import duties and local taxes. Payment of these is the purchaser’s responsibility and beyond the control of William Walter Antiques Ltd. When the container has reached the destination country, a customs representative will contact you for payment prior to delivery.
Import restrictions are applicable to some destinations, especially the import of products containing materials such as ivory and tortoiseshell. We cannot accept orders requiring shipment to any countries which implement such controls.
All items are checked and photographed prior to packaging, and we aim to dispatch 1-3 days after receiving cleared payment.
