A lovely pair of Victorian silver three light candelabra (silver candlesticks with matching plated branches). The candelabra are in a beautiful neoclassical style, in late 18th century taste.

Description

A lovely pair of Victorian silver three light candelabra (silver candlesticks with matching plated branches).

The candelabra are in a beautiful neoclassical style, in late 18th century taste.

The bases are oval with fine fluting and the branches can be detached to make a pair of candlesticks.

There is a detachable central finial which can give a differing look by making them two light. All the nozzles are detachable to assist cleaning.

Dimensions: height (to central finial) 40.5 cm, height (to side) 44.5, height (of candlesticks) 28.5 cm

Hawksworth, Eyre & Co

Hawksworth, Eyre & Co was a silversmith and manufacturing company of silver and silver plated items based in Sheffield. Founded in 1833 by Charles Hawksworth and John Eyre. The partnership was dissolved in 1869 and the business was continued by James Kebberling Bembridge, Thomas Hall and George Woodhouse.

In the 1870s the firm became a limited liability Hawksworth, Eyre & Co Ltd. The company registered further marks in 1900 and 1912. They ceased trading in the 1930s.

Delivery Details

We provide worldwide postage/shipping and everything is fully tracked and insured. Purchases will be sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery, FedEx, Parcel Force, A-Z couriers; other delivery providers may be used in extenuating circumstances. We deliver to the address provided at the time of purchase but not to PO addresses, as a signature is required upon delivery.

Some countries levy import duties and local taxes. Payment of these is the purchaser’s responsibility and beyond the control of William Walter Antiques Ltd. When the container has reached the destination country, a customs representative will contact you for payment prior to delivery.

Import restrictions are applicable to some destinations, especially the import of products containing materials such as ivory and tortoiseshell. We cannot accept orders requiring shipment to any countries which implement such controls.

All items are checked and photographed prior to packaging, and we aim to dispatch 1-3 days after receiving cleared payment.
