A very fine George III antique silver pierced mustard pot, with two plain diamond-shaped cartouches joined by sways of flowers.

The pot has a vase-shaped finial and an open work thumbpiece. It has a blue glass liner.

Widow of Robert Purton entered her mark in 1783 and was in partnership with Thomas Johnson in 1793 and on her own again in 1795. Died in 1804. Burial record for St Dunstan and All Saints, Tower Hamlets dated 27th November 1804 of a Frances Purton of Poplar. Frances Purton (nee Clark) married Robert Purton (Grimwade p.634) at St Leonard, Shoreditch on 22 February 1776.

We deliver to the address provided at the time of purchase but not to PO addresses, as a signature is required upon delivery.

Some countries levy import duties and local taxes. Payment of these is the purchaser’s responsibility and beyond the control of William Walter Antiques Ltd. When the container has reached the destination country, a customs representative will contact you for payment prior to delivery.

Import restrictions are applicable to some destinations, especially the import of products containing materials such as ivory and tortoiseshell. We cannot accept orders requiring shipment to any countries which implement such controls.

All items are checked and photographed prior to packaging, and we aim to dispatch 1-3 days after receiving cleared payment.
