Antique Silver George VI Hallmarked Beaker made in 1936
A lovely hallmarked sterling silver beaker specially made for the coronation of George VI in 1936 by Dodd & Son of Cornhill, London.
This beaker – which is large and heavy – is engraved with “12 May 1937” above a royal crown and cypher. The inscription engraved around the beaker is: “Here’s a Health unto his Majesty”. George VI was crowned on 12 May 1937.
The beaker has a capacity of 450 ml.
Dimensions: 10.5 x 8.9 cm; weight 7.84 troy oz.
