An unusual shaped Georgian small silver vinaigrette.
The exterior is finely engraved with marine motifs and to the underneath is engraved with a simple flower.
The interior is richly gilt and the grille is finely engraved.
The box is in excellent condition.
Dimensions: length (at longest point) 3 cm, width (at widest point) 2.5 cm; weight .35 troy oz.
Joseph Taylor (1767 – 1827) is recorded in marks in the register of the Birmingham Assay Office from 1773 to 1801.
