Description

A stylish Georgian sliver teapot of shaped oval form and delicate fluting with a matching stand.

The teapot retains the original stand which has a mahogany insert to the underneath to prevent heat transference on to the table.

The teapot stand bears the date letter for 1804 and the teapot for 1805, with both pieces being made by Crispin Fuller. Fuller was apprenticed to the famous lady silversmith, Hester Bateman, and married her granddaughter, Sarah.

The teapot still retains the original handle and finial which matches the shape of the body.

The teapot was made in the year of the Battle of Trafalgar.
