A lovely quality late eighteenth century silver tea caddy which is of oval form and very finely engraved, with hand engraved ‘ bright cut’ decoration in neoclassical style.
The front cartouche is engraved with script initials, with a lion rampant family crest engraved to the reverse.
A lovely quality caddy in excellent condition.
Dimensions, height 12.5 cm, width 9 cm, length 13 cm.
Weight, 13.5 troy oz.
Charles Aldridge, apprenticed to his uncle Edward Aldridge 1758, free 1766. First mark as plateworker, in partnership with Henry Green, 1775. Second mark alone 1786. Third small mark 1789.
Henry Green, free of the Girdlers Company 1772. Mark entered as plateworker, in partnership with Charles Aldridge, 1775. Second mark alone, 3 sizes, 1786.

We deliver to the address provided at the time of purchase but not to PO addresses, as a signature is required upon delivery.

Import restrictions are applicable to some destinations, especially the import of products containing materials such as ivory and tortoiseshell. We cannot accept orders requiring shipment to any countries which implement such controls.
All items are checked and photographed prior to packaging, and we aim to dispatch 1-3 days after receiving cleared payment.
