Antique Silver George III Silver Kitchen Pepper made in 1772

A good quality rare early George III period silver kitchen style pepper caster with a delicately hand pierced lid.
The caster is finely engraved to the front of the body with the a family crest of a Unicorn.
This particular crest is used by the Wright family of Yorkshire and a few others.
The caster is well marked underneath and marked with the standard mark to the lid .
It is in excellent condition throughout.
Dimensions: height 8.5 cm.
Weight: 2.47 troy oz.
No record of apprenticeship or freedom. Appears as plateworker, opposite St. Clements’s Church, Strand, in the Parl. Report list 1773, as having entered a mark before that date. Process of elimination leaves him or James Wiburd as candidates for the attribution of those closely similar marks.
