Thomas Watson

Thomas Watson, turned apprentice of Robert Scott II, probably worked as a journeyman for a couple of years before opening a shop in John Mitchison’s old premises in the Side, as a working goldsmith, silversmith and jeweller.

From 1793 until his death in 1845, he made gold rings and a wide range of silverware; he was one of the larger manufactures of the period.
