Antique Silver George III Large Goblet made in 1805
A fine and very large nineteenth century wine goblet, this unusual goblet stands on a large square pedestal base and is plain in style.
The goblet has a very large capacity of 650 ml , nearly a full bottle of wine!
This fine goblet is in very good condition.
This elegant goblet is made in London in 1805 by Charles Chesterman II.
Dimensions, height 17.2 cm, base 9.9 cm.
Weight, 9.5 troy oz.
Charles Chesterman, apprenticed to George Greenhill Jones in 1734, free 1748. First mark entered as large worker 1741. Second mark 1752. Third mark 1771. Died c. 1775 when his widow, Ann Chesterman, entered her mark.
Charles Chesterman II, apprenticed to his father 1766, free 1774. First mark entered as smallworker 1780. Second mark 1801. Third mark 1809.
