A very good set of six late George II period Hanoverian pattern tablespoons, made in London in 1757 by William Turner.
Each is engraved with the interesting crest of an Alpaca and they are in super condition.
Dimensions, length 20.7 cm
Weight, 14 troy oz.
William Turner son of Richard Turner of the parish of St. Mary le Bone blacksmith apprenticed to James Wilks 5 March 1741. Free 5 April 1749. Livery, 8 March 1758. Or less likely son William Turner late Citizen and Turner of London deceased, apprenticed to Carles Davis 4 October1739. Freedom unrecorded. The first mark entered as largeworker, in partnership with James Williams, 9 August 1753. Address Staining Lane. Moved to Addle Street, 20 September 1753. The second mark alone, 21 June 1754. Address; Addle Street 1754-6, and spoon maker, Wood Street 1767-8. He died in 1772.

Import restrictions are applicable to some destinations, especially the import of products containing materials such as ivory and tortoiseshell. We cannot accept orders requiring shipment to any countries which implement such controls.
All items are checked and photographed prior to packaging, and we aim to dispatch 1-3 days after receiving cleared payment.
