The dish is fully marked on the base with Minerva marks and has a rocaille (acanthus leaves) finial, handles and border.

The dish and stand are made very much in the French style of the 1760s and 1770s.

The dish was made in Paris c. 1890 by Jean-Baptiste Franҫois and the stand is by Paul Canaux.
