A fine pair of antique silver candelabra in the early 18th century style.
These two light candelabra can be also used as a lovely pair of candlesticks as the branches detach. The branches and candlesticks still retain their original detachable nozzles for ease of cleaning.
This pair of small size candelabra are quite rare pre-WWI (the majority tend to be of much larger size). Small candelabra only seem to become common in the 1950s.
This pair was made in 1909 and 1910 by Hawksworth Eyre of Sheffield and retailed by Stewart Dawson of London.

Hawksworth, Eyre & Co was a silversmith and manufacturing company of silver and silver plated items based in Sheffield. Founded in 1833 by Charles Hawksworth and John Eyre. The partnership was dissolved in 1869 and the business was continued by James Kebberling Bembridge, Thomas Hall and George Woodhouse.
In the 1870s the firm became a limited liability Hawksworth, Eyre & Co Ltd. The company registered further marks in 1900 and 1912. They ceased trading in the 1930s.

Purchases will be sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery, FedEx, Parcel Force, A-Z couriers; other delivery providers may be used in extenuating circumstances. We deliver to the address provided at the time of purchase but not to PO addresses, as a signature is required upon delivery.
Some countries levy import duties and local taxes. Payment of these is the purchaser’s responsibility and beyond the control of William Walter Antiques Ltd. When the container has reached the destination country, a customs representative will contact you for payment prior to delivery.
Import restrictions are applicable to some destinations, especially the import of products containing materials such as ivory and tortoiseshell. We cannot accept orders requiring shipment to any countries which implement such controls.
All items are checked and photographed prior to packaging, and we aim to dispatch 1-3 days after receiving cleared payment.
