A superb Elizabeth I antique sterling silver apostle spoon of St. Simon Zelotes. The spoon has a fig-shaped bowl, faceted stem, plain nimbus and the finial has pale gilding.
The spoon is in magnificent condition and has a very good patina and gauge.
Dimensions: length 17 cm; weight 67.5 grams.
A specialist spoon maker working from 1551 – 1583. He took over from his father who worked from 1535 – 1553.
