Stephen Adams II, the son of Stephen Adams I, citizen and lorimer of London.
Apprenticed to Joseph Walton of Little Britain, citizen and goldsmith, oilman 10th October 1777. Almost certainly an apprenticeship of convenience to acquire freedom of the Goldsmiths’ Company (which his father did not enjoy). Free, 6th October 1784. Livery, February 1791.
Entered first mark as bucklemaker, 24th May 1792 and others to 1807. First mark as plateworker, 14th November 1813. Address: 3 St. Ann’s Lane. Second mark (small), 2nd May 1815. Moved to 5 Wingrove Place, Clerkenwell, 13th March 1824. Moved to 70 Chapel Street, Islington , 21st January 1825. Died 15 July 1840.
