No record of apprenticeship or freedom. Name found partner with John Sebille, as plateworker, St. Martin’s Le Grand, in the Parl. Report list 1773, and also as bankrupt in 1770 ( The Gentleman’s Magazine, p 346 ). The mark attributed to them, recorded by Chaffers on an inkstand of 1763, seems certain from the combination of initials; it occurs principally on pierced baskets.
